What is a frequency converter?

A Static frequency converter is a device used to supply electrical loads that require AC power at a fixed frequency different from what is available from the main grid supply.

• Through conversion of the main AC supply
• The Rectifier stage converts the incoming AC voltage to DC
• The Inverter stage converts the DC to AC, at the output to the required frequency and voltage.
